What always drives me nuts about following program and tracking is that I ultimately know what to do, but just don't remember to do what I know to do. It's a hind-sight is 20/20 thing. Here's an example of what I mean. First, check out The 7 Rules of Healthy Fast Food. Every one of those rules are things I do all the time but for some reason today I didn't. With the work crowd today we went to Chili's and I ordered one of the lunch combos. 27 PPV total. By simply getting my half sandwich without sauce and asking that the sandwich be grilled without butter and leaving off the cheese I could have saved 10 PPV easy. Those simple adjustments would have allowed for my awesome steamed broccoli and steamed chicken breast Chinese dinner within my DPT instead of using my WPP. Definitely a budgeting lesson.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

I love Taco Bell. Always have. Always will.
I would have bet that XXL in the title of a menu item would have automatically prompted a high-level avoidance response. The picture was well, pretty, attractive, inviting, tantalizing, delicious. I order the XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito - Chicken. I almost dropped the bag when the server handed it to me. It was that heavy. I enjoyed it. I'm just not sure it was worth the 22 PointsPlus values. It could have been worse. Funny how that always makes me feel better. Acknowledging restraint as a badge of honor. Good for me.

I originally wrote this as a post on my weightwatchers.com eTools blog in June. I guess one every 6 months isn't bad. I just wish it hadn't been the day before THANKSGIVING!

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

My favorite album is "Get Nervous".
I wrote a meme called "My Life in Song" using Pat Benatar songs, It's on FB.

This week we talked about how to "Get Unstuck". Your weekly does a great job of helping you zero in on what behaviors you may have slacked off on for what I am sure we all want to be for only a short time so review, review, review.

I remember when I fell into the "ok" place. It turned out it was mostly because I hadn't been allowing myself to have foods I liked. Long before I joined Weight Watchers, I lived across the street from Dunkin Donuts. At the time the only danger I saw in that was running across 4 lanes of traffic to get there. It was in the middle of the block. With time and repetition of course the habit of coffee and donuts was born. Gratefully enough time has passed that that habit is gone. In the interim however I did have a run in with a box of 24. Being overly restrictive and the habit of labeling food as "on" or "off" program was one of my personal demons and greatest triumphs in a long a worthwhile journey. In the end it will all be worth it!

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
